About

Alan L. McCann has spent three decades building software and a lifetime circling one question: what are these systems, really? Born Catholic but raised secular, a twenty-five-year search led him back to the Church and into its intellectual and contemplative traditions. As an engineer he built a governed AI architecture and verified it with 601 machine-checked theorems; the proofs disclosed a boundary the tradition had already named.

He writes at the meeting point of those two circles. The Way Series recovers the ancient Christian way of seeing; the mashin intelligence series maps the formal limits of the machine. The Person at the Boundary is the doorway between them.
